I believe this photo shows good texture. The darker lighting helps define the cracks and age rings in the wood. You can see the depths of each crack and ridge, adding more texture than just the age rings and such.

I chose this photo because I love cats. I love the gentleness of the cat in this photo as it lets the butterfly land on its nose.
